Sustainability

Where possible we aim to reduce the impact on the land and environment beyond the gathering, creating a sustainable model that can support the festival, leaving no trace of rubbish or damage to the land or eco system. We ask that all participants dispose of their rubbish thoughtfully, as not to impact the local neighbourhood upon leaving.

We ask that all festival participants take great care and responsibility as custodians of the earth to bring awareness and intention to this co-creation and the impact we are having on the environment.

There will be activities throughout the festival that enable participants to engage in activities that will ‘give back to the land’, such as bush regeneration and compost building.

All organic waste matter left over throughout the festival will be made into a compost that will be turned back into soil for the land to benefit from.

Our composting toilets will also create compost and soil for the purpose of bush regeneration and creating diversity on the land. Project continuity will be woven into the ethos of the festival, using the compost of each years festival for new projects during the following year.

We ask all participants to bring their own bowls, plates, cups and cutlery, avoiding single use disposable items where possible.

We ask that participants do not use any chemical soaps, shampoo or conditioner in the showers or in any natural water ways, as all the water runs back onto the land, impacting the local eco-system. Please ensure that you bring products free from harmful chemicals before you come to the festival, to keep the environmental impact minimal. If you need guidance as to what products are suitable please don’t hesitate to ask.
